Ribbon-cutting was held last Tuesday at Clement Clarke Moore Homestead Park.
Barbara Wilks with Council member Daniel Drumm and Queens Borough President Donovan Richards are at the event.
The 5.2 million dollar renovation of the park is designed by W Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Construction began in March 2019 and was completed in October 2020.
The ribbon cutting event was delayed because of Covid-19.
Clement Clarke Moore Homestead Playground, a 1.98-acre park on Broadway (between 82nd St. and 45th Ave.), has been renovated with brand new look and now features an expanded play area, new play equipment, swings, a spray shower and a multi-purpose open area for recreation. The park used to be highly active in the neighborhood and will be more active in the future.
We are proud the proceedings mentioned how the community needs were met at every step—and how it serves the most diverse community in NYC!
