The groundbreaking for Restaurant Row, a gateway improvement that will provide wayfinding and a visible identity for the historic street, was held this morning. The design includes two cylindrical kiosks lit with LED lights that will be a symbol for the street's vibrant restaurants. Both kiosks will include a lighted panel locator map for all of the international restaurants on the block. Inground solar powered pedestrian lights will also be installed on each street corner. Construction should be complete by the end of February.
