A Flood Protection Plan is Set in Motion for Battery Park City

W is working with Perkins Eastman on fortifying Wagner Park in Battery Park City against future storms. Our work on the park was covered by the Tribeca Tribune: http://www.tribecatrib.com/content/staying-dry-flood-protection-plan-set-motion-battery-park-city. The resiliency plan for the park enlarges the ornamental gardens, adds two more gardens, expands the lawn, and replaces the current pavilion. One of the new gardens would slope down to the waterfront and include a wetland, meadow, and woodland. There could be a footbridge over the water and wetlands, offering a new experience and allowing for the community to engage with the waterfront. There is also an opportunity to dock boats for educational programming and add space for a small stage and additional seating near the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
