First Public Meeting for Great Miami Riverfront Tonight

W is working on a Riverfront Master Plan for the Great Miami river in Hamilton, OH. Barbara was interviewed by WVXU, a radio station in Cincinnati about future plans for the river. You can hear the interview here: http://wvxu.org/post/hamilton-hopes-leverage-great-miami-river. Barbara Wilks grew up in Hamilton and is impressed by the river today. She says that dirty industry along the river is gone and now, “you see great blue herons, even eagles!”. There is already a bike trail, a mega sports facility, and hotel being constructed along the river and you see people rowing down the river. With the Riverfront Master Plan, W's goal is to work with the city to bring the river more into the life of the city and find better connections to make you aware of it. The public hearing will be held tonight at 6 pm at the Fitton Center for the Creative Arts.
