On Thursday, June 8, Barbara Wilks will participate in Placemakers 13: Environmental Resiliency in Urban Public Spaces, a panel discussion focusing on St. Patrick’s Island. The panel precedes a 24-hour Bioblitz on June 9th and 10th. The Bioblitz will be led by Steven Handel of Green Shield Ecology, who will perform a species count on St. Patrick’s Island along with a team from W and numerous volunteers. This will be the first Bioblitz after the rehabilitation of St. Patrick’s Island. A Bioblitz was conducted in 2013 as part of the design process.
