Placemakers 13: Environmental Resiliency in Urban Public Spaces was held at Confluence Plaza on St. Patrick’s Island in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Steven Handel, Scott Jordan, and Amber Osadan-Ullman joined Barbara Wilks in discussing the role of environmental resiliency in developing public spaces, how biophilic design approaches support ecological effects, and the ecology of the island today. The event was a precursor for a 24-hour Bioblitz on June 9th and 10th.
