The St. Petersburg, FL city council approved the remaining $19.5 million for the pier approach project! W is developing the pier approach in collaboration with ASD Architects and Rogers Partners, who are designing the new pier. The council also acknowledged receipt of the concept design report for the pier approach, which included updates to conceptual plans. W’s approach converts the vehicular-oriented waterfront into a pedestrian promenade with a variety of shade structures and tree groves. Another public workshop in early October will show both the pier approach project and the pier in one presentation.
