All of the final materials from the Chouteau Greenway competition in St. Louis have been posted. You can see our final boards here and read our final report here. Our plan links Forest Park to the famous arch, the neighborhoods to the center of the city and each other with diverse public spaces along the way. Our plan proposed to reclaim the Mill Creek Valley, a natural watershed that is not visible in the everyday experience of the city, by creating a series of connected places. We also proposed to honor the history of housing and notable figures who lived in the valley.
The jury praised our design concept as having an inspired hydrologic strategy, clear dialog, a clear interpretation of equity issues, and an economically feasible strategy. We were honored to be part of the competition and congratulate the winners.
